There are many different classes represented within the Drama such as upper, middle and working.
In episode we see a party taken place around a pool and high quality building, this would demonstrate upper class within the community as these facilities would be expensive. Upper class is also portrayed within audio as well, one of the female characters........ speaks quite posh and has quite a rich london accent, this could percived of good upbrining in terms of education. Also in terms of material gain is quite vast. We are shown Lucie been taken into a designer shop called Rokit, for these to afford Designer clothing they, could be quite finacally stable suggesting that they are from upper class background.
Lower class is portayed quite highly in Freak, we see Lucie not being able wear clothes, this happens in to instances, one where clothes are taken off her, and theres even a time where she doesnt have enough cloths to go, this could be a cause of financial problems suggesting lower class. Also when there is party going on, the only music being played is from a Stereo, when that falls into a pool, they are left with no music entertain ment and resort to instruments, which suggests lower class.
Stereotypes are the main focus in the Progamme, but class has big part in that factor. Lucie is shown not own many cloths mainly because she cant afford them, so she takes her brothers clothes, making her look more boyish and tomboy and not the typical image of a female. Most of the charcters have different archtypes within the progamme. Lucie often struggles to express herself fully and unintentionly copies her rival. We se ... change her clothing in order for her to become different and unique , she wants to become more upperclass in this case due to the different acessories applied to her dress. Most of the representations within the progamme are negative as ... is seen to be quite bitchy and rude to her fellow friends (Musical, Lucie, sun tan) however this could be a cause of her ubringing. We see Lucie has a postive repsentation, as she is victimised within the group but is still seen emancipate her self. This shows graditidue and modesty, howver this could be cause of her class from not being able to afford things to make more like her friends.
